About Me
Prof. Dr. Hermin Pancasakti Kusumaningrum, SSi., MSi., born in Semarang, is a Professor of the Biotechnology Study Program, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Mathematics at Diponegoro University, Semarang. The author received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Biology, Diponegoro University, Semarang. His Master of Science degree was obtained from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bandung Institute of Technology, while his Doctoral degree was obtained from the Postgraduate Program of Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, in the field of Biotechnology with a scholarship from SEAMEO SEARCA-DAAD. The author is a lecturer in Nanobiotechnology, Genetics, Genetic Engineering, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Metagenomics and other courses. In addition to teaching, the author is also active in conducting various research related to genetics, biotechnology and molecular biology. The author is also active in writing various scientific works. Books that have been written are Textbook of Genetic Engineering, Textbook of Microbial Genetics, Textbook of Nanobiotechnology and several other books. This article is part of the 2026 International Publication Research and other publications on plastic waste management in Indonesia that we want to help solve using Whole Genome Sequencing technology. In his career, Prof. Hermin, has been awarded as Outstanding Lecturer (Exemplary Lecturer) I, Faculty level and Undip level I. Prof. Hermin, has climbed various levels of positions in higher education starting from Secretary of the Biology Department, Head of the Genetics Laboratory, Deputy Director of Innovation, Head of the Biotechnology Study Program at Diponegoro University, and a member of the Undip Professor Council. As for researcher status, Prof. Hermin has a Google Scholar H-index of 16 and I10-Index of 28, and a SINTA Score of 3427. Scopus has 57 documents (H-index 8). The intellectual property he owns is in the form of Patent Certificates and 13 simple patents and more than 40 Copyrights. Prof. Hermin is also listed as one of the Top 100 SINTA Score 3 years of Diponegoro University and Top 500 Undip 2025.
